On the 30 th November 2014, the Men's Health Urbanathlon obstacle race, presented by Hunters, will be returning to Johannesburg and will comprise of a 12km route throughout Joburg CBD with a series of challenging obstacles throughout the race. Celebrating the Men's Health “work hard, play hard” mentality participants will be pushed mentally and physically, while experiencing unique city landmarks including the Nelson Mandela Bridge and Constitution Hill in Johannesburg . The highly anticipated Gauteng Sport Awards ceremony which was originally scheduled for this coming weekend 07 June has been postponed and will now take place in July. The decision to postpone the event comes after the serious consideration of the recent political changes following the elections, which saw the appointment of the new MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Ms. Molebatsi Bopape, who only resumed her duties just over a week ago. The move is meant to give MEC Bopape and the new leadership of the province, a fair chance to be involved in the process of the awards and thereby enough time to make valuable contributions. Despite the postponement all is still on track for the prestigious ceremony meant to reward Gauteng’s top of the cream in sport.
