So this weekend was the mad decent block party that took place at mary fitz square in new town, oh boy oh boy, after months of waiting for the event to make its way to South Africa, we made history, it was the first time the mad decent block party ever took place anywhere else outside the united states, how lucky are we. It was a truly wild show of professional twerking, dancing, crowd-surfing, C02 cannons and of course, Diplo’s human hamster ball! Party goers dressed up, brought water guns and inflatable toys and twerked and danced their way through the day and night Dillon Francis got the crowd going with his unique brand of “reggae tone meets Dutch House”, DJ duo Flosstradamus brought their irresistible sense of fun to their banging set, while American Moombahton artist Paul Devro and local DJ / producers Das Kapital and Sibot & Toyota got the crowd raving.
