Sowing the Seeds 2013 promised two solid days of quality vibes, top-notch beats, good people and a spectacular new venue at the five-star Welgelegen Manor Estate. Thirty of South Africa’s top bands and DJs – and international act Dune Rats from Australia – performed to eager and enthusiastic crowds who partied from early morning until the late-night hours. Sowing the Seeds was, as one festival-goer tweeted: “The best vibe of a small festival I have ever been to. Truth.” As gates opened on Friday afternoon, people piled into the festival grounds armed with tents, cooler boxes and their party vibe, in anticipation of the weekend ahead. Friday night opened with Dubmasta China on the decks of the Electronic Stage, followed by Michael Lesar, Ma’Original and James Copeland, setting the pace for what became a great EDM party.
