Captain Morgan and Sibot are looking for DJ's to take the Captain O'Clock anthem next level

When Sibot and Riky Rick collaborated on their track Tick Tick Boom, it was quickly claimed by Captain Morgan, SA’s favourite rum, as the Captain O’Clock anthem.

Sibot, one of the country’s premier DJ and sound engineers has teamed up with The Captain and they’re looking for up and coming DJ/producers to download the Tick Tick Boom separates  and remix it.

The 10 best remixes will be selected by Sibot and The Captain and then put to the public to vote. The winning DJ/producer gets to kick-start Captain O’Clock at Oppikoppi when they drop their track with Sibot and will walk away with R10, 000.

“When collaborating on the original Tick Tick Boom track, Riky Rick and I were looking to create something that really changes the mood at the time when you want to take the night to the next level. We wanted to eliminate the question of not going out.  It’s the anticipation, the moment when you’re on the fence and jump over and have a big night out,” says Sibot.

“The response has been crazy, and DJ’s country-wide have already been using the track in their sets to signal Captain O’Clock – when the party goes up a notch. So we wanted to open up the opportunity for aspiring DJs and producers to take the track elements and create something that symbolised that moment of release for them,” says Sibot.

And what better place to prove their mettle than on stage at Oppikoppi, attracting over 20,000 music lovers annually, and rankedthe 4th best music festival in the world in 2008, by the Daily Mirror.

To stand the chance to join Sibot at Oppikoppi 2015 and win R10,000 in prize-money, simply visit www.captainmorgan.co.za to download the separates; upload your remix from 1 -10  July to Soundcloud and tag #CaptainOClock. The 10 finalists, selected by Sibot and Captain Morgan, will be uploaded to www.captainmorgan.co.za for a public vote. The winner will be announced 22 July.
