PRODUCT REVIEW: PHILIPS AIRFRYER XL

By Castro Cruz and Gift Khosa Gone are the days when frying pans and deep fryers were the only means of frying food. A magnificent kitchen appliance has been launched by Philips. It is the Airfryer, as the name suggests it fries food with air. At first we didn’t quite get the idea behind it, but soon after unboxing this magnificent piece of technology it all made sense. The Airfryer is available in two colors metallic white and blazing black. I have the blazing black one. Personally, we thought nothing would ever replace the “frying pan”, but after making my first meal with the Airfryer I literally said goodbye to my frying pan. This product uses touch technology to switch it on and off as well as to adjust heat levels and cooking time. With heat levels ranging from 0 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius, one can fry anything that is fried on the frying pan. In today’s world where people are concerned about eating healthier meals, the Airfryer just compliments th...

For M-Net, having partnered with the science centres further entrenches its commitment to developing local talent in the film and television industry and creates a nationwide awareness of the many, and diverse opportunities in this industry. In 2014, the M-Net Magic in Motion Career Expo was held in Johannesburg and targeted university students. With just under 3000 students in attendance, the week-long expo was a huge success in creating awareness of the many careers available in this industry. The reality for M-Net was that the students were already in mid...
