Multiply Invites Athletes of All Ages and Abilities to Rise to the Challenge

An obstacle course race like no other, the Multiply Adventure Challenge, will be taking place on Saturday, the 8th of September at Riversands Farm Village in Midrand. Everyone, from adrenaline junkies and sports fanatics, to gym enthusiasts and non-athletic adventurous spirits are invited to take part in this fast-paced, spectator-friendly event.

The 3.5km race has been carefully planned by experts from Warrior Race, who have spearheaded the meteoric rise of obstacle racing in South Africa. To ensure that everyone can get in on the fun, they’ve created three courses, each with a different number of obstacles - the Extremist with 25, the Brave with 22 and the Apprentice with 15.

In addition to giving athletes the chance to put themselves to the test, the Multiply Adventure Challenge promises a fun day out for the whole family, with activities, refreshments and even a chill zone. What’s more, there’ll be a Momentum Health Kiddies Area - which will be free for children of the participants (but not those of spectators) - to ensure that little ones aged 2 to 12 years of age are safe and well taken care of by qualified child-minders. Not only will the kids be entertained with arts and crafts, jumping castles and loads more, they can also compete in a fun obstacle course of their own.

“We’re so excited to be a part of this exhilarating race for a second year and to be providing South Africans with a platform to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle. The Multiply Adventure Challenge brings together the things that are most important to us - spending time with family, having fun and being active. Just like there are different courses on this race catering to different competitors, we believe that there are different ways for everyone to have an active day, regardless of their fitness level,” says Zureida Ebrahim, CEO of Multiply.

To enter, visit the Multiply website and click on the Multiply Adventure Challenge banner.

Entries start at R150, with discounts available to Multiply members who will also earn an Active Day for participating. Registration will take place on the day from 06h30.

Spectators wanting to support friends and family taking part get in for free and must look out for the spectator route demarcated by orange arrows.
