Why : As South Africans commemorate the Soweto Uprising on June 16, Johannesburg will Celebrate the Youth who fought for our freedom on Monday 15 June 2015 at the annual Young ’n Free Youth Day Celebration in association with Metro FM &MTV Base at the Expo Centre Nasrec, Johannesburg South, South Africa. Conceptualised in early 2013 in association with Greenstar Productions, as means to educate the youth on their history and contribute positively to social causes in Soweto, The Young ’n Free Youth Day Celebration in association with Metro FM & MTV Base will donate 10% of all ticket sales to charity based initiatives in Soweto.
