Another Something Cool for J'Something

Joao Da Fonseca also known as MICASA’s platinum selling lead vocalist, J’Something, has found his entrepreneurial niche in the broadcast arena. Partnered with TV production maven, Dale Herbst, these two gentlemen plan to take African TV to greater heights with their new production company called Something’s Cool.

Dale Herbst

This company was founded by J-Something and Dale Herbst late 2014. A creative brain and logistics duo made the perfect combo for a team on fire which conceptualises new ideas and makes them come to life.

Projects

  • The creation of Something’s Cool bought the birth of one of South Africa’s favourite cooking reality shows, “Something’s Cooking”. Hosted and produced by J’Something, season one proved to be a success which introduced Something’s Cool to more opportunities.

  • MICASA’s hit-single, “your body” has received heavy air play across Africa, including the music video, which was also produced by Something’s Cool. Fast forward to 2015, Something’s Cool is affiliated with channels such as Vuzu Amp and The South African Broadcast Channel to name a few.

  • VUZU Amp has appointed Something’s Cool to produce a brand new documentary-reality show called “Rich Kids”. This new show will air on VUZU Amp on the 16th of April 2015 and promises to be the freshest reality show South Africa has ever seen.

  • SABC1 has also appointed this boutique production company to create and produce “Your Perfect Sishebo” season two. This will be the third production from Something’s Cool, and the first for the year 2015.

  • Something’s Cool, Knorr Soup, Knorrox as well as Rajah Spice, have teamed up to bring you this new season which will air next week, on the 2nd of April 2015. Hosted by comedian, Mpho Popps, with a panel of judges as well as surprise celebrity guests such as Maps Maponyane, Lerato Kganyago , MICASA , Kgomotso Christopher and Lennox Bacela will keep things spicy as the finalists battle it out for the coveted title.

  • 10 contestants from all around South Africa, have been carefully selected to bring you wholesome sishebos. One will win the cash prize of R200 000 as well as R50 000 in Shoprite shopping vouchers.
Those are just a few of the projects that this production company have been cooking up.

Something’s Cool invites you to share the untold stories of Africans.

J’Something says : “It’s a very exciting company to be a part of. I can’t believe where we are. We have already moved into a new office because of space constraints and not enough space for our team. We aim to be a company that really puts out cool content!
