On the 26th of February 2015 the Guide magazine was invited to the Black Bar bottle experience held at the trendy Maboneng precrint . I must say I was really in a hurry to see myself there. You can never go wrong with Black Bottle. When we got there we were given a very warm welcome that got us more excited about what we were to experience. I must really admit that I actually learnt a few things about the Black bottle whisky, having recently launched here in South Africa last year.

The evening started at the living room roof top
where guests got a brief whisky tasting with Black bottles global ambassador
Mal Spencer with some delicious finger snacks, sushi, cheese and some seafood.

It wouldn't be a black bar experience without
some bit of magic, guests got treated to some magic tricks from a talented
magician who managed to leave guests with only one question in mind “how did he
do that? Where did he had hide the coin?”

We now had to move from The living room and
take a tour of the beautiful Maboneng. We were divided into groups and each
group had their own tour guide, who showed us around Maboneng and gave us a
brief history of the place.
Ooh to actually think my team and I thought
Maboneng was only at the Living room. Along the road we were entertained by a
group of Pantsula dancers who put on a mini showcase for us, must say that was
such a wonderful experience to watch those talented young dancers move to the
rhythm of Maboneng.
The highlight of the night was when we finished
off at Patapata where there was a live band and Zulu traditional dancers that
performed for us while we were sipping the Black bottle and enjoyed more
fingers snacks. The setup of the venues
was out of this world we really had a great experience. It was a chilled
environment where we were about to mingle and enjoy the evening.
Thank you Black bottle for the wonderful experience
