Christmas in the Dark Powerwise Piece Party

Cape Town, (9 December): Tis the season to be jolly but also a time to do something for those less fortunate. Why not do your bit by donning your dancing shoes and festive garb, and getting yourself down to Cape Town’s City Hall this Friday – 12 December – for the first Christmas in the Dark Powerwise Piece Party? Brought to you by integrated concept and music experiential agency, 3 Blind Mice, in collaboration with Cape Town’s number one pizza brand, Butler’s Pizza, and South African electro-swing and dance group, GoodLuck, the event at Cape Town’s City Hall is the perfect way to kick off your party season – if it hasn’t already begun.

“Christmas is a time for fun, sun and forgetting about national problems such as rolling black-outs. Sadly for most of our population it’s just another day of struggle, while others wake up to the reality of life-threatening disease. So a group of us who enjoy having a good time together decided to make a difference by doing what we do best – to throw a memorable and entertaining event in the true spirit of Christmas,” says Patrick Craig, co-managing director (SA) of 3 Blind Mice.

He continues, “While we’ll offer our patrons a world-class experience to celebrate the end of a long, hard year - the line-up includes some of SA’s finest artists, namely Goodluck, Beatenberg, The Kiffness and James Copeland – R25 of every ticket sold will be donated to two worthwhile charities.”

The supported charities are Little Fighters Cancer Trust who offer support to children with cancer and their families, and No Danger Diaries, a Cape-based social enterprise committed to making a difference while completing fun tasks such as abseiling in superhero outfits to try cheer up sick kids.

Patrick says, “In addition to our financial contribution Butler’s Pizza will be donating a quarter pizza – a symbol of the brand’s 25 year anniversary this month - to Little Fighters Cancer Trust for every ticket sold. We are also encouraging everyone to bring along a toy that will be donated by the No Danger Diaries superheroes to kids at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.”
