EVENT: THE BOYS ARE BACK! MOMENTUM CRICKET SIXES IS HEADING FOR JOBURG!

After a successful inaugural event in 2013 The Momentum Cricket Sixes, presented by The Legends Trust - Graeme Smith, Mark Boucher and Justin Kemp – will be heading to Johannesburg on the 18th of October at Old Eds Cricket Club in Houghton.

The social cricket tournament, which has cemented itself as the newest “must-attend” social sporting event of the year, will be back bigger and better with even more cricket legends, entertainment, fun and heart than before with all proceeds going to charities selected by the Legends Trust.

Charities will include the “Rhinos in Safe Hands”, formed by SAB and Mark Boucher in the hopes to register all rhinos in South Africa, and the Momentum to Excellence (M2E) bursary programme, which assists talented cricket players at school develop their game and gain quality education.  To add to this, corporate teams will be able to bid on the favourite cricket legends to join their team at an invite-only golf day on the Friday before the match, with all the proceeds raised going to charity.

The Momentum Cricket Sixes will consist of a round-robin tournament with 12 corporate teams, including a selection of current and past SA Cricket Legends such as Pat Symcox, Jonty Rhodes, Jacques Kallis, Paul Harris, Alan Dawson, HD Ackerman, Makhaya Ntini and International stars Kevin Pietersen and Damien Martyn, who will go head-to-head on the cricket field whilst spectators enjoy the fun from the family area and style lounge.

On the actual match day, there will be plenty for spectators to enjoy including cricketing action and entertainment from F & Martinengo from Ballz Radio in the family area and elegant hospitality areas for those wanting to upgrade their experience in the Style Lounge, which will serve delicious food and cocktails throughout the tournament, whilst you rub shoulders with your favourite cricket stars!

Several team packages are still available for the Momentum Cricket Sixes Invitational.  This includes entry into the tournament, team kit, a four-ball on the golf day, the option to bid for pro cricketers for you team and corporate hospitality for 50 people on match day.  A team package, including a rhino darting adventure experience is also available.
