FASHION: EUPHONIK TEAMS UP WITH SUPERGA TO LAUNCH EUPHO 2224 SNEAKER

Following the overwhelming success of the Superga Editions sneakers, one of South Africa’s top House sensations, DJ Euphonik, in collaboration with the people’s shoe has launched yet another pair of kicks for party lovers and trendsetting urban dwellers.

Themba Nkosi, better known by his fans as DJ Euphonik, has designed a trendy, above the ankle urban looking sneaker which is a true reflection of his own personal sense of style and that of his music, whilst providing the durability and excellent quality of the Superga brand.

This designer pair of sneakers offer style and comfort while dancing up a storm on the dance floor or effortlessly creates any urban-chic look. Available in a sleek and classic black and gold design with zip detail, the flat sole canvas high tops don’t only look good, but also ensure a snug fit and feature Euphonik’s signature gold crown on both sides of the shoe as well as his Euphonik’s name on the heel.

When news broke about the collaboration we were really curious, not many DJs have successfully branched out into the fashion market and had an impact especially in the local market. We are really impressed with EUPHO 2224 the shoe is actually not bad, the attention to detail and simplicity of the shoe.

Here’s a short interview we did with euphonik.

What inspired the new EUPHO 2224 sneaker?

I've always been a fan of Superga and when I noticed the large amount of kids under 18 who wore them I decided to get in contact with the Superga team and see if there wasn't any opportunity to collabo on a sneaker. The first one did very well which is why we are doing the second one.

Were you involved in the creative process of the EUPHO 2224 sneaker?

The sneaker is a collaborative effort between the two brands so I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to give my input in the making of the sneakers.

Pair the shoes with some chinos they are the perfect shoes for that work and after work drinks with friends. You can also pair these shoes with your favourite shorts and show case your shoe game.

The hip EUPHO 2224 High Top Superga sneaker is currently available at all Superga concept stores nationwide and retails for R900.00.
