EVENT REVIEW:SKYY VODKA’S EXCLUSIVE ELEVATED EXPERIENCE.

On the 12 of April 2014 the guide online was invited to the exclusive invite only Skyy Vodka elevated experience held at a secret location in Johannesburg. We were given directions to drive the design district  square in Rosebank, which really got us curious because last time I checked the Skyy vodka elevated experience is normally hosted on a rooftop like last year’s one which was held at Randlords rooftop.

When we arrived at the design district square all we could see was this long line of people, in front of them was a bus with the Skyy vodka logo on the side. We stood in that long line to get into the bus which was our official transport for the night to the secret venue. Honestly was not really feeling the whole bus situation because we stood in the line for almost 30 minutes (that’s how long the line was) and the weather was a bit chilly.

The venue was so secret even the promoters were reluctant to give us clues on where the venue was. We stepped into the bus finally, with curiosity on our minds on where the venue was, everyone in the bus was clueless, we all kept on throwing hints to each other on possible venues, and we all thought that we were heading to Randlords because the driver was driving to that direction.

We finally reached the secret location The Shine studios in Braamfontein, we were all surprised.

I personally adore the Shine studios it has one of the most stunning view of JHB at night especially the beautiful colourfully lit Nelson Mandela Bridge and it has played host to some of my favorite events like the sprite uncontainable rooftop semifinals 2 years ago and last year’s star studded  Sunglass hut come and play event hosted by the beautiful Bonang Matheba.

We were welcomed to the event with some Skyy Vodka cocktails (delicious) and escorted to the last floor of shine studios where the event was. Our host for the evening was birthday boy DJ Sphectacular and Naves, and they kicked of the party.
