RESTAURANT REVIEW: MZITHOS KITCHEN

Checked out Mzithos kitchen located in Braamfontein (johannesburg) corner biccard and juta street. Mzithos a popular restaurant for students due to their affordable menu and delicious braai meat (steak, wors, brisket and steak) and also some other cuisines like Mutton , been hearing a lot about this restaurant from friends so it was high time i check it out for  myself was never one to believe what people say but try experience it myself.

Zone 3: Pap, drumstick, wors, brisket , tomato salsa, gravy

Menu
the popular menu on the dish is the zone 3 dish, which consists of brisket, a slight big piece of wors and drumstick served with slides Tomato salsa and curry cabbage with your choice of either pap, rice or dumpling. Personal prefer braai meat with pap, never tried braai meat with dumpling or rice.

Presentation
the plate was presented very simple, the pap was in one plate and the meat in the other plate.
For presentation i give Mzithos kitchen
6/10

Enjoyability
The meat was not bad actually, i enjoyed the wors and drumstick, the tomato salsa and curry cabbage was delicious, the brisket was just ok i felt like it was missing something, like more spice and some bit of salt.
another disappointing thing about the meal was the pap it looked underdone and sloppy.

5/10

Service
The service is also not bad, you place your order than pay and wait 5 minutes for your food to be ready.
8/10

Affordability
The food is really affordable comparing it to other similar restaurants, the menu price ranges from R30 to R35. (R35 for the zone 3) no wonder its a popular place among students and also people who work around the Braamfontein area.
9/10
Final verdict
Though the food didn't really live up to my expectations, but would definitely go back there soon and recommend you guys to check it out especially if you stay around the Braamfontein area. The best place to go when you have that crazy hangover.
