Breaking news: Skyroomlive to stream the axecess jozi with big sean live

Axe, the lady-pulling, fashion-strutting, limo-riding lifestyle brand has upped its coolness factor a notch by commissioning SA’s top Internet streaming company SkyRoomLive.com to live stream AXEcess Jozi featuring Big Sean.

Not only is this the one of the first international acts to ever be live streamed globally from SA, the show will also be filmed and streamed in 3D – a groundbreaking worldwide first for an A-list artist.

From 3pm on the day of the mega-festival, 1 February 2014, urban music fans can log on to SkyRoomLive.com and watch AXEcess Jozi, in association with Channel O, live from any tablet, smart phone, laptop or Internet television.  The stream will also be available in 3D on a switchable player, so you can switch between 3D and HD should you have a 3D television set or screen.


‘We’re aware that lots of hip-hop fans outside of Jo’burg won’t be able to get down to Mary Fitzgerald Square for the show’, comments Vincent Viviers, Brand Manager for AXE South Africa, “We thought it’d be great for Axe to give them the ‘AXEcess’ to experience the concert from home, so we are really pleased that anyone outside of the greater Johannesburg area can now logon and watch the spectacle live, online.”

More than 200,000 people are expected to logon and experience the multi-cam broadcast worldwide, which is great news for the stellar South African line-up.  AKA, Khuli Chana, Teargas, Reason, DreamTeam, Da L.E.S, DJ Dimplez, Khenzero, DJ Feel & P.H and DJ Tira are looking forward to this mass exposure on a global scale. The online chat function makes the show really interactive, creating an engaging experience for all those involved.

Top SAMA/MTV Award winning music video director, Eban Olivier, will use a minimum of five 3D cameras for the show, delivering exciting angles and a top-quality viewer experience. It’s no wonder that they’re ranked no. 12 in the world on iRocke for Online Content Providers, alongside the likes of iTunes Festival, YouTube and the Red Bull Sessions.

Of course, the company behind the festival is G&G Productions, SA’s top youth brand who produce some of the country’s top annual youth and urban events.  It’s only fitting that the pioneers of everything cutting-edge should be the ones who’ve introduced 3D streaming to the South African festival market.
