http://www.facebook.com/castlelite?fref=ts

So this past weekend the guide magazine team attended the extra cold live event that was held Braamfontein corner Juta and Melle Street The extra cold live kicked off in Cape Town and then moved to Durban and then it was finally our turn Jhb baby. The MC of the night was rapper AKA who did a marvelous job, the evening kicked off with a performance from Siya shezi who hyped up the crowd with killer punches line. kwesta was the 2nd artist to perform, who came in and murdered everything on his path with a killer performance that would make rappers that have been in the game bow down and show respect to this young rapper, who delivered a killer performance that kept the hip hop heads  raising up peace signs and the ladies also showing love. He performed some of my favorite hits that night from stomp, take that and boom shakalaka which he performed with rap group ill skillz as part of the extra cold live collabos.

I had to refill my drink and see what was happening around, we made our way to the VIP area which was at kitcheners, can we say boring, we sat there for a bit recovering from the kwesta performance we went hard on the dancing, we were served hot dogs and fries with a castle lite with boring music playing in the background. After we recovered we made our way back to the concert just in time to catch DJ duo Pascal and Pearce won’t lie I’ve never heard of them before, oh boy did they deliver with killer electro hits and impressive lighting that had us jumping up and down during their set, we spotted Sports presenter Andile Ncube, Poppy, JR, Amu, Publicist Melanie G Ramjee, Yfm presenter Thando thabethe among the crowd.

We made our way back to the crowd when we heard that jack parrow was about to go on stage, his performance was not bad in the beginning until he started going all deep Afrikaans on us  and performed songs we didn’t know , talk about killing the vibe. Dj zinhle and lulo café did a collabo on stage also which was out of this world, it only happens at the extra cold live event. Tuks also performed followed by 3x Sama winner Khuli Chana who pumped up the crowd with his energetic performance which was worth waiting for, the crowd went crazy.  Zakes Bantwini also came through doing what he does best, his performance was also something for the books, and this guy is a legend, with dance moves that would make Nonhle Thema sit down for good and Dj fresh and Euphonic closed the event.  All in all it was a good night Thanks to the castle lite team and capacity team for such a wonderful event, hope it happens again next year.
