ARTIST PROFILE: DJ INIFINIX-THE BOSS LADY OF HOUSE

With a limited number of female house DJ’s in S.A, the 25 year old hailing from  Uitenhage in   Eastern Cape. Infinix is one of the females who has challenged herself out of the comfort zone and familiarised herself with the technicalities of CDJ’s and mixers and more significantly with the house music genre.she   Always wanted to be a singer but the influence of house music and djs around her shifted her  interest a bit and from then on she focused more on the djing side, only now is she working on her vocal side of my career .She describes music as a moving art in which allows people to express their feelings. " Tears Always Win " is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter  Alicia Keys  for her fifth studio album,  Girl on Fire . It was written by Keys, along with  Bruno Mars ,  Jeff Bhasker  and Phillip Lawrence, and produced by Keys and Bhasker. It was digitally released on May 7, 2013, through the iTunes Store  and serves as the fifth single from  Girl on Fire . Vic Falls Carnival returns for the ‘Biggest New Year’s Party in Africa’

Following on from the success of its first year in 2012, the much-anticipated annual Vic Falls Carnival returns in 2013 – bigger, louder and more fun. Esteemed International Judge for National Red Bull BC One cypher

CAPE TOWN (South Africa) - After an extensive search to find the country’s best B-Boys, the top 16 are hard at work preparing themselves for battle at the Red Bull BC One South Africa cypher on  6 July . Esteemed international B-Boy and winner of the Red Bull BC One World title, Roxrite, joins the panel of judges.  Sixteen of South Africa’s most talented B-Boys go head-to-head in the Red Bull BC One South Africa Cypher at Cape Town’s Club Fever on 6 July 2013 .  Chosen from four city cyphers that took place in April, the local B-Boys had to prove they had the technique and originality to compete in the competition. The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has announced UJ Arts & Culture’s “Art Much?” magazine as the recipient of a Bronze Award in the category of Special Constituency Magazines for the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards 2013.   “Given that only the first two issues were eligible for adjudication by CASE, a bronze award is an outstanding achievement which we are tremendously proud of,” says UJ Arts Marketing Officer, Precious Maputle. “I would also like point out that ‘Art Much’ is the only arts publication from the African continent which features as a winner in this category alongside Ivy League institutions such as Harvard who placed gold for their Harvard Medicine magazine,” she adds.   CASE is an international association of educational institutions including more than 3,600 colleges and universities, primary and secondary independent and international schools, and non-profit organizations in 76 countries. The MC of the night was rapper AKA who did a marvelous job, the evening kicked off with a performance from Siya shezi who hyped up the crowd with killer punches line. kwesta was the 2 nd artist to perform, who came in and murdered everything on his path with a killer performance that would make rappers that have been in the game bow down and show respect to this young rapper, who delivered a killer performance that kept the hip hop heads   raising up peace signs and the ladies also showing love. Sbhujwa Kings I.D.A. take the Red Bull Beat Battle crown

Months of choreography, practicing and perfecting routines culminated in Red Bull Beat Battle where in the final against Clinch Crew, I.D.A  took the crown.  E ight of  the country’s best dance crews 8-one-oh Meninas, Ace, Beauty and the Beasts, Brooklyn, Clinch, I.D.A, Via Volcano and defending champs Reptilez faced off in the ultimate dance battle in front of the 2500-strong crowd at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto.
