The sprite uncontainable finals with Talib Kweli

talib kweli on stage
On the 1st of September we made our way to OST in new town for the sprite uncontainable finals, after a national wide search for the next MC, graffiti artist and dancer, which saw the judges traveling from Nelspruit to Durban etc. though arriving their early 6:30 seeing on the flyers they said the event was going to start around 6, but the event started at 8. With the MC of the event being Mtv base Vj sizwe Dlomo, who really tried his best to keep us entertained, the only thing he managed to make me do was break my own record of how many times I can yawn during a speech.
The main aim of the event was to announce the winner of the sprite uncontainable where the winner won a mentorship programme with non either than Mr Talib Kweli himself in New York. The event finally kicked with the two MCs who got on stage to do their thing, the two Mc was JHB based ABY FAB(cash time fame) and Durban rapper Hydrochloric, they both went on stage to perform their sprite uncontainable inspired songs, with Aby Fab who kept forgetting his lines, but both Mc managed to hype up the crowd, then comes the part where they had to go head to head MC battle this was my favourite part of the night, where hydrochloric finished what was left of ABY FABS career, to claim the MC title.

Than it was the dancers turn to show what they have, where I took interest in Costa who really impressed me with his dance moves, though he lost out to shem rock, who clearly in her right mind thought she was on Jika majika with her dance moves. After all the winners were announced it was time for our local artist time to perform, started with Ben Sharpa, Pro, Red button, last day fam, thacutt, reason, Tumi. Tumi who made me proud to be African he killed his performance he set the bar high for the other artist. Then came the moment that everyone was waiting for, Talib kweli performance who shut the event down, he killed his performance. All in all the event was so well planned, was impressed with sprite and also the good social media work that was done for this event was impressive.
