1. Who's Buntu Jabela apart from his music career and where does he hail from?
Buntu Jobela,

A South African Theatre Contemporary Rapper well known as BuntuJobela who was born in Khayelitsha Cape Town for a couple of years until the family decided to Move to Delft south Cape Town in 1998 and it’s currently the same Township Buntu resides in.   Buntu fell in love with music at an early age and began rapping and writing in 2003. After a decade in the music industry – Buntu has built a name amongst Hip Hop and Theatre lovers around Western Cape especially Cape Town.

2. When did Buntu discover his artistic side and when did he arrive on the scene?

Buntu fell in love with music at an early age and began rapping and writing in 2003. After a decade in the music industry – Buntu has built a name amongst Hip Hop and Theatre lovers around Western Cape especially Cape Town.

3. What sets Buntu apart from his fellow artist and can you describe or elaborate on your musical style?

I have come up with something new in the Cape Town hip hop scene, I do not use your typical hip hop beats, I prefer using more musical instrumentals such as Contemporary Music which I fuse with my writings . My style of music originates from theatre music and sound scapes. Yet I am able to do your urban hip hop sound  to cater for a more broad audience but the style I’m pushing and want to take to the industry has matured and is more musical. I just want to be different,

4.  Can Buntu explain his mind-set going into the competition and now being the winner of Share the Beauty of Voice.

Eish. I really did not know what to expect from the competition because every day Id check the leader board to see on what number I’m on, sometimes I would be on number one the next I’m on two so I would really have to push more votes everyday just to stay on top and I would urge my fans to also help me share to get to number one.

5. Any Valuable lesson that Buntu took away from this competition?

I have learnt that believing in yourself and taking chances with your talent really helps.

6. As Buntu Hails from the Cape, with the norm of making it in S.A music you have to be in Jo'hustle'burg do we see any permanent move to the city?

After the shoot  I really got inspired about moving to Joburg but realised I would need to be connected to a lot of people in order for me to survive in Joburg. For now I’m just making connections so that when I come back to Jozi I’ll have tangible connections that will help me sustain myself and my talent.

7.  What should we expect from Buntu in the immediate future?

Hey man. just expect more good music, expect me to see me entering more competitions as I have seen that competitions really help.

8. Who would you love to collaborate with in the near future?

Bongeziwe mabandla and James Blunt.

9. Tell us more about your music video and the inspiration behind the music video?

The music video came out really really well, some professional stuff It has inspired a lot of upcoming Cape Town artists and has made me a better artist.

10. As your personal motto is "be inspired, uphile ubomi bakho" what more can you tell youngsters walking the same path?

I’d like to say to them, Be original, Be fresh, Be proud of your background and stay humble.

11. What advice would you give to the youth that are trying to pursue a career in music?

As youth you just have to grow and believe in yourself
