This week i had a bbm(blackberry messenger) conversation with DJ ChuckSA.





One really talented and interesting fella, who always had a deep passion for music from a young age.

Born Siphwe Masina in Soweto but grew up in Sandton,

Gift : so how did it all begin, the Dj career?
DJ Chuck: had apassion for it from the daysof primary school, back then i listened to Bob Mabena ,in grade 7 I started djing with atomix(a computer mixing program), as i entered high school(hyde park high) i became part of the sound and lighting team, only then did i really realize that djing was the career i wanted to do. Thats when i started at technics DJMIXCLUB.

Gift: what was your very first event you played at?
DJ Chuck: Back then there was a club in Fourways called Whozoo, my friend and I hosted an event there and the event turned out to be a big success.

G: What genre of music do you love playing when you Dj?
C: I'd call myself a versatile house Dj, but mainly deep house and your commericially house.


G:whats the best event you played so far?
C: DJ Nono and Speedys annual birthday celebration which was held in capital Rosebank, gum tree (midrand) and also Motswako lounge.

G:Have you ever went outside South Africa to Dj somewhere else?
C: No

G: so what do you enjoy most about being a Dj?
Busy mixing up
C: when people come to me and say nice music , thats when you know you doing a good job.

G: So after a long day of djing and parting, how do you unwind?
C: i just sit back and listen to the next Dj, theres a lot of potential out there.

G: what can people expect from your live performances/gigs)
C: Pure fun and live megamixing

G: whats the one genre of music you can't stand?
C: Rock, its too violent for my liking.

G: whats the most embarrasing album you have on your CD pouch right now.
C: my pouch is always updated, so i would say Westlife




 G: where can people see you playing?
C: this weekend will be at News Cafe Midrand

    Any Dj who plays deep is the DJ i would listern to,plus a DJ who listerns to other DJs is always learning and updating himself and that makes a good DJ

    yeah man I like the way you interview this guy,you have started from the time he started until now,this will let people know that every journey begins with a single step. This guy didn`t just become famous but he has gone through different stages to get the fame
