Monday the most dreaded day of the week for obvious reasons,
honest truth we all wish that there was just ONE day between Sunday and Monday
just for us to slowly let go of the weekend and gear up for the week ahead; oh
well let us not bore you with things we can’t change.
Back to this week’s Bachelor Guide to a Monday night dinner;
occasionally on a Monday we all just want to come back from work kick-off our
shoes and just unwind with a glass of wine with cooking the last thing on our
mind. Either way we have to cook it’s one thing we all have to go through
unless you can afford to go out or order some takeaways. Either way you have to
eat.
So this week we decided to whip up a quick and simple prawn
stir fry the bachelors way of course. We pride ourselves by making simple and
fast recipes; as one of The Guide writers would say “ life is too short to
spend so much time on the stove”, using basic ingredients.
Ingredients
Prawns
- · Philips AirFryer XL
- · Medium wild prawns
- · McCain French stir fry
- · Robertson Mixed herbs
- · Minestrone
- · Olive oil
- · Obikwa Cabernet Sauvignon
- · Salt and Pepper to taste
Pasta
- · Spaghetti
- · Olive oil
- · Salt
Method
Step 1
Depending on the types of prawns you have, cut the head off
and rinse the prawns. After rinsing the prawns place them in the Philips
Airfryer and turn the heat to 180 degrees for 5 minutes just to crust the
outside of the prawns.
Step 2
After the crusting your prawns pre-heat Olive oil in pan,
when you start feeling the heat slowly add the prawns and stir fry until they turn
Golden in colour.
Step 3
Add the McCain French stir fry and mix them together with
the prawns. Add two spoons of Obikwa Cabernet Sauvignon and stir. Mix the Minestrone
with water and add it to the prawns and let it simmer for a good 5 minutes.
Step 4
Dishing up
Dish up the pasta fast and top the pasta with Prawn stir-fry
